My Giant

Yup, that's my "little" man... he's 9 months and he's about the size Isabella was when she was 15 months old! I'm not surprised though, from birth he's been a big eater. I 'm always telling John people are going to wonder where we got our kids from when they are older because we'll have one tiny, fiery little red head and a big, 6 foot tall blond boy!

Out of the mouths of babes...that is what they say right?

Isabella is famous in our house for taking FOREVER to eat her meals. We're talking, it can take an hour for her just to eat a sandwich & veggies ( sound familiar Auntie Nanda?) So the other day was no different. Isabella was dragging out lunch making her grilled cheese talk to her carrots and I told her she needed to stop playing, hurry up and eat her food. She stopped, looked me dead in the eye and with a sigh says "you have to be patient mommy" then went back to her conversations.

Sometimes my 3 year old is too smart for her own good!

Snow already?!

So a few weeks ago on Halloween we got a little snow storm. Ok, what I actually mean is that we got about 22 inches of snow dumped on us. I'm all for having a white Christmas..Halloween..not so much! I don't know if this is a sign of the winter to come (we've had one more storm with another 5 inches since then) but if it is, it's going to be a long winter. At least the kiddos had fun with it. Bella couldn't wait to get out and play in it. Connor seemed mostly indifferent but he did look really cute all bundled up!

We're baaaaack!

So it's obviously been awhile since I've posted. We have been busy between adjusting to being a family of four, Isabella potty training and trying to juggle everyone's schedules. Connor is 9 months now. He is crawling everywhere and even starting to try to walk. Isabella is pretty much potty trained (accidents do sometimes happen), she turned 3 in August and started dance classes this fall. I gotta tell you there is not much cuter than Isabella in her dance outfit!

Potty Time!!

Yup, it's that time... it's all about the potty at the Reed house. This is actually our 2nd attempt at trying to get this little hooligan to get rid of her diapers. We first tried just before her 2nd birthday and things seemed to be going well but she all of a sudden decided, Nah, I don't like this. So here we go again. This time we pulled out the big guns and have a chart & everything! So far so good. There are definitely days where she hates it, and we try not to push it but we're coming up on her 3rd birthday...it's time. Part of me is a little sad to think that my little baby girl is almost wearing big girl undies. I do wish though I could just snap my fingers and POOF! She's all trained. Anybody know how to do that?

He's Here!

Okay, well he's been here for about a month but you get the point. On February 9th 2011 at 8:19 Am our little Connor Josef Reed made his grand debut. Weighing in at 7lbs, 10 ounces and measuring 21 inches long. He was just as wide eyed and alert as his sister was when she was born. Isabella loves her little brother and it's so fun to watch her interact with him. We're still getting into a routine here, juggling both a newborn and a toddler but I have no doubts that soon enough we will find our grove.
