The winds of change they are a blowin'...
What I mean by that is there has been a LOT going on with us these past few months. We made it through the madness of the Holidays intact. Both kids got sick, Connor had a double ear infection and then wouldn't you know it, both John & I caught it. We've also been doing some schedule changes around here. With the main theme being me going back to work full time. This has been both a blessing & a curse. While we appreciate the extra dough this brings and how it gives us the ability to do more with & for our kids to say that it has been stressful is an understatement. I haven't worked full time in almost 3 years so it's a big change for all of us. For me obviously because I have to get used to not having as much to get everything done that I need to do and I don't see the kids as much. For John, because it means he has to pick up my slack. And lastly for the kids because I haven't full time since Isabella was 8 months old so I doubt she remembers and as far as Connor is concerned I've never worked full time. So basically everyone is having to adjust and it hasn't been easy.
With that being said, please don't think I am whining. I realize that plenty of mothers, probably most mothers, work a full time job, and manage their household. It's just something that comes with the territiry. I fully appreciate the fact that I was able to spend extra time with my munchkins during their early years. There are so many moments that I am glad I was able to share with them. I just realized that this is starting to sound like I think the world is ending or something, lol! Not the case...I just know things are going to be very crazy around here for awhile until we all get adjusted!
